Email ausnationalrankings@badminton.org.au with the EXACT DETAILS of the player ID numbers, tournament results, and player names if you have found missing, incorrect, or duplicate ranking points in the BA National Rankings.

This number is given to you after you have entered your first Badminton Australia sanctioned tournament. If you have played in a BA sanctioned tournament before, search for your name on our National Player ID Number masterlist which can be found here. If you have played in an international BWF sanctioned tournament, your National Player ID number should be your BWF ID. This is also the number saved in your TournamentSoftware profile, under the section ‘Member ID’ before you enter online in any BA sanctioned tournament. If you think there may be duplicates in the system, or if you need help finding your National Player ID number contact ausnationalrankings@badminton.org.au

Depending on the type of course, it will either be organised by your state and territory or by Badminton Australia. Get in touch locally first and they will direct you to the right place.
Please go through the tournamentsoftware.com password reset process. If you have lost access to the email that you made this account with, you will need to create a new TS account with a current email address. Submit an entry request to Badminton Australia via this link.
NOTE that you need to submit this form each time you enter an international tournament hosted outside Australia. For local international events, such as Bendigo International or Sydney International, you need to enter via Tournamentsoftware.com in the ‘Australian Entries Only’ event. If this is the first time you are entering a BWF International tournament, then you will also need to apply for a BWF ID number.

You can check for entry deadlines and other international tournament information via the BWF Corporate website, in their Calendar section

If you are a Para Badminton player, entering ‘Partner required’ will be accepted for an international tournament. If you are NOT a Para Badminton player, you need to nominate a doubles partner in your BA International Entry Jotform submission, with the following details about your partner:

First Name
Surname
BWF ID NumberCountry (if not Australian)
– If your partner is Australian, they also need to submit the BA Entry Jotform. International doubles entries for non-para players who enter as ‘partner required’ will not be accepted.

Head to the BWF Corporate website, in the section ‘Calendar’ and look up the tournament you wish to enter. Click on the name of the tournament and you should see a Prospectus document. The Prospectus should be added to the BWF website a couple of months prior to the entry deadline for that event, and contains helpful information for players.

The tournament Prospectus should confirm method of payment from the host. If they accept cash, then this is the preferred method. If they do not, Badminton Australia may be required to make payment on your behalf, in which case we need you to email baentryofficers@badminton.org.au and request that this payment be made. BA will on-charge the cost of entry fees for players we have made payment for after we have completed payment in an equivalent AUD amount (if the entry fees were charged in an international currency; normally this is USD).

You should request a BWF ID number via the BWF ID Application Form here

When applying for a BWF ID number, Badminton Australia will ask you to provide your passport details and evidence of your Australian residency status, if you are not an Australian citizen. You need to prove that you will be living in Australia for a minimum of 12 months, and that your visa is not expiring in that time. If your circumstances change in the future and you move to another country, you may need to transfer your BWF ID.

Please complete Badminton Australia’s BWF ID Transfer application form here. There is a one-off admin fee of $45 for players who are transferring their BWF ID number in or out of Badminton Australia.

The ‘BWF General Competition Regulations, Section 6. International Representation’ guidelines should confirm whether you are eligible to compete in International Representative events like the continental championships. If you are not an Australian citizen, you may still be eligible to compete as an Australian player in the Oceania Championships IF your BWF ID number has been registered to Badminton Australia for a minimum of 3 years prior to the championships that you wish to compete in.

The BWF Visual Clothing Guide on the BWF corporate website provides guidance around the lettering, size and placement of your name, your country name, and any advertisements on clothing which is permissable to wear on court. The same clothing regulations apply to coaches who wish to attend international events and be courtside to coach players.

If you are an Australian player entered in an international tournament, and you wish to withdraw your entry, email baentryofficers@badminton.org.au as soon as you wish to be withdrawn. There are strict fines imposed by host countries for late withdrawals, and larger fines are even bigger for players who are no-shows.
