Badminton Australia

Performance Hubs

Badminton Australia’s Performance Hubs are centralised training environments designed to raise the collective level of Australian badminton. They provide athletes with consistent access to elite coaching and high-quality sparring opportunities, creating daily training environments that reflect international standards.

Currently, two Performance Hubs are in operation:

  • Melbourne Performance Hub – Delivered in partnership with Badminton Victoria and based at the Melbourne Sports & Aquatic Centre (MSAC). The hub provides a structured training environment for National junior and senior athletes in Victoria.
  • Sydney Performance Hub – Delivered in partnership with NBC, providing a training environment for Junior and Senior Falcons, as well as International Falcons based in New South Wales.

The hubs are more than just training venues – they bring athletes, coaches, and support staff together under a consistent national framework. They connect the Junior, Senior, and International Falcons programs, making sure athletes at every stage of the pathway are aligned with Badminton Australia’s High Performance Strategy and What It Takes to Win (WITTW) model.

Looking ahead, Badminton Australia’s priority is to strengthen the Melbourne and Sydney hubs, ensuring they deliver world-class daily training environments for athletes. By building robust systems and consistent standards in these hubs, we aim to set the benchmark for high-performance badminton in Australia.
