Badminton Australia

Senior Falcons

The National Senior Program brings together Australia’s leading badminton athletes and coaches to prepare for success at the highest level.

Operating through a camp-and-campaign model, the program gives athletes access to elite training, sparring, and support services. National camps provide opportunities for athletes to come together, train intensively, and build team culture, while the Performance Hubs in Sydney and Melbourne deliver ongoing training environments with consistent coaching and sports science support.

The focus is clear – to prepare athletes for international competition, the Olympic Games, and the Commonwealth Games. Each athlete works to an Individual Performance Plan (IPP), ensuring their development is structured, accountable, and aligned with Badminton Australia’s long-term high-performance strategy.

By combining national camps, hub support, and international campaigns, the National Senior Program is equipping Australian athletes with the tools and experiences needed to compete with the world’s best. All athletes are categorised under the National Athlete Categorisation Framework.
